If you ever wanted to live out your Dick Tracy fantasies, you might be able to do so with the next Apple Watch if rumors about the next generation Apple Watch is to be believed.
Reports from the Wall Street Journal indicates that the next generation of Apple Watches will include a beefier internals for smoother performance plus cellular connectivity to make calls directly from the Apple Watch without an iPhone (you can make calls with Apple Watch now by syncing with an iPhone) .
The Apple Watch was released last year with a price befitting of its premium branding at $349 (it has now been reduced to $299). Despite the pricing, the Apple Watch wasn’t a smooth experience and users hasn’t taken to the smart wearable as Apple has hoped.
With the next generation Apple Watch, a beefier spec with the ability to make calls without an iPhone could be enough to entice more people to pick up the smart wearable.
As of this moment, Apple has not officially announced any details regarding the next Apple Watch but expect news to come out during the next Apple event.
