Nintendo’s Switch Online Mobile App Is Now Live

The Nintendo Switch Online mobile app has become available on iOS and Android. Even though Nintendo formerly dated the support for July 21st, the company release it little early, therefore Switch owners can start downloading it now.

You can’t do much with the app just yet, though. Splatoon 2 will be the first game to fully support the app once it starts this Friday and gamers will have access in setting up private lobbies and also using the app’s voice chat feature through Splatnet 2 hub. You can view your online battle stats, your gear, and much more from the hub.

The app allows you to send online play invitations to players on your Nintendo Switch system’s friend list and also invites via social networks and messaging services.

Nintendo is still working to stabilize the app’s servers and so the extra maintenance time is most likely a good thing, but it might leave you unable to log in for awhile.

Switch owners can log in with the Nintendo Account associated with their console. In fact, the app states a Nintendo Account has to be connected to a Nintendo Switch console in order for it to work.
