Occupy Mars Drops a Prologue on July 30th on Steam to Prepare You for The Game

Pyramid Games will be releasing the free prologue of Occupy Mars: The Game on July 30th, aptly named Occupy Mars: Prologue. Check out the cinematic trailer below:

Occupy Mars: The Game is an open world survival game that takes us to the distant surface of the Red Planet, which we not only have to examine, but also prepare for colonization. Building functional base and maintaining its condition, discovering new technologies and their successful development or exploring uncharted territories are only a part of the activities that player will be tasked with. The Mars expedition brings as many possibilities, as threats. The biggest challenges for the players will be not only harsh climate and dangerous atmospheric abnormalities, but also the need to satisfy the basic life needs.

Among many peculiar Martian challenges, we will also have to find the right place to build a living space. Because of the extremely difficult living conditions, our base will require many repairs and upgrades. The colony which we are going to build needs to be precisely thought through. If we want to bring more people here – nothing can be missed.

Occupy Mars: Prologue takes place in a remote location before the events in Occupy Mars: The Game. As a member of one of the first successful Mars colonies, you have been sent to Remote Research Station located inside the Gale Crater. Your task is to collect data and resources. As easy as it may seem – you need to hurry as there’s an incoming dust storm and your oxygen, water and food supplies are shrinking.

Occupy Mars: Prologue will be releasing on the 30th of July as a free-to-play title, while Occupy Mars: The Game is planned to release on Steam Early Access sometime this year.
