Overwatch Player Shows How Hanzo’s Ultimate Can Be Countered

Hanzo from Overwatch has one of those ultimate attacks that is pretty much unstoppable once it gets going. Turns out there is a way to not only stop Hanzo’s ultimate, but to also counter it.

It’s a bit tricky but Kotaku gives a great explanation on how you could pull it off. The gist of it is that you’ll need to use Genji’s ability to reflect projectiles at a certain moment before Hanzo initiates his ultimate to counter the attack.

Below is a video by SnaixOnAPlane showing his team getting obliterated by his own ultimate.

The video shows how the counter can happen in a split-second, effectively using Hanzo’s ultimate against himself. At the hands of a skilled Overwatch player, this ability to counter Hanzo’s ultimate can be very effective in a match.

With the closed beta finishing up and an open beta set to run in May, Overwatch players will probably need all the tips and tricks they can find to prepare themselves before the game’s full release.
