P.T. Inspired Allison Road Is Back From Cancellation
It looks like the horror game Allison Road is not completely dead! Announced by IGN, the spiritual successor to P.T. has been revived under the new label, Far From Home.
The label is headed by Allison Road creator Christian Kesler and his wife and will be responsible for publishing the game from now on. Kesler spoke with IGN about the game’s revival and how he intends to work on the project as a solo developer instead of relying on a third-party publisher.
“After the setback, I took a bit of break from working on it and re-evaluated all the work that had been done so far,” Kesler tells IGN. “I started making a few (in my opinion) necessary changes to the story and the flow, little bits and pieces here and there, and before I knew it, it sort of naturally came back to life.”
Unfortunately, Kesler wasn’t able to give any details on what changes the game had undergone and there’s yet a release date for it. Still, it’s rare for a cancelled game to make a comeback, let alone for an indie title such as Allison Road. Let’s hope horror fans get to play the game soon.
