After Bowser steals the Star Rod and kidnaps Princess Peach, Mario plots to rescue the seven Star Spirits and free the Mushroom Kingdom from the Koopa’s rule. As Mario travels from the tropical jungles of Lavalava Island to the frosty heights of Shiver Mountain, he’ll need all the help he can get. Paper Mario combines traditional RPG elements and turn-based combat on paper-thin characters to overcome obstacles. In Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach is kidnapped by Bowser and imprisoned the seven “Star Spirits”, with the star rod stolen and castle lifted to the sky. Mario needs to solve puzzles and fight in turn-based battle to save the Mushroom Kingdom, rescue Peach, get the castle back, and defeat Bowser.

Since Nintendo launched their premium Expansion Pack membership, fans are able to get access to a catalog of N64 and Sega Mega Drive games as well as paid DLC. This time, Nintendo is adding N64’s Paper Mario to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack on December 10. The game was first launched in 2000 and started as the first game of the series where the latest Paper Mario: The Origami King was released on last year’s July.
