Epic Games is replacing V-Buck Llama with X-Ray Llama in the next update for Fortnite, and players will be able to see the lootbox content before opening them.
Epic said the update will take place in patch 7.30 and here are the highlights of the ‘Save the World’ patch:

[list_item]The price doesn’t change when the llama upgrades – you can see the upgrade before you purchase, and any item can come from the cheapest Llama. You can wait and find your favorite weapon in a 50 V-Buck llama, with no guessing![/list_item]
[list_item]The items offered are based on your account in order to apply dupe prevention.[/list_item]
[list_item]Specific items can still be directly purchased with earnable in-game resources.[/list_item]
[list_item]All the fun of opening Llamas, and only the items you want![/list_item]

Players can opt to wait until their desired items are present in the lootboxes before opening them. With this update, the items inside the Llama will change and it is updated on a daily schedule. In addition to X-Ray Llama, the patch will also include the dupe prevention tweak, where the Llama will determine the item rarity and type and then select an item that isn’t in a player’s inventory or collection book.
However, once the patch goes live, players will no longer be able to purchase V-Buck Llamas in bulk.
