Images have appeared online of what could be the slim version of the PlayStation 4. It first appeared via a UK auction site called Gumtree, that was reported by a NeoGAF user and has since been taken down.
The pictures, which you can see below, gives compelling evidence that it could be an actual console that Sony might reveal during its PlayStation Meeting event in New York that’s set to take place on September 7.
Currently, it’s unclear whether the console is the 4K model (aka Neo) or just a slim model of the PlayStation 4, similar to the Xbox One S. The other thing to note is that there’s no confirmation at this moment on the validity of the images, so there’s a chance this all could be an elaborate hoax, similar to the Nintendo NX controller leaks.
As of this moment, Sony has not commented on the leaks. It looks like we’ll just have to wait until September 7th to find out what Sony has in store for the PlayStation brand.
