PlayStation Plus Free Games In August

As July approaches, PlayStation Plus lineup for August has been announced by Sony and a good selection of games awaits PlayStation Plus subscribers.

First in the lineup, Just Cause 3 was launched in December 2015 by Avalanche Studios that tells the story of Rico Rodriguez, a man on a mission to destroy General Di Ravello in a fictional island settings by any means necessary. Ubisoft’s Freedom Cry is an add-on for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag where you get to play as Adewale, a former slave turned Assassin fighting to liberate slaves along with the help of his own Pirate crew.

Indie hit Downwell and Level 22 is also available to the PlayStation Vita platform. For the PlayStation 3, two free games are the XGen Studios’ Super Motherload, an adventure game set on Mars, and Gamoola Soft’s Snakeball, a 3D version of Snake.

This is the full lineup for August:

  • Super Motherload, PlayStation 3

In the meantime, Sony is offering great deals for the next six weeks on movie rentals for only 99 cents. There will be a different movie discounted each week, with The Lego Batman Movie is listed for the first week. Other movies like Logan, Power Rangers, and Kong: Skull Island are coming up in the next few weeks, so be sure to check them out.
