It’s almost here! Our new PlayStation Plus service is launching soon, and we are pleased to share with you an early look at some of the games* that will be included during the launch time frame. As we announced in March, there will be three benefit plans to choose from– all with exciting games to play.
New PlayStation Plus
As part of the rollout of PlayStation’s new service, PlayStation will start transitioning members’ accounts on 23 May and expect the process to be completed for all members by the end of the day on 24 May.

We’re rolling out our new offering for PlayStation Plus a little earlier in select markets in Asia, followed by Japan. Here is a look at our updated regional rollout schedule.

Notice before launch: PS Plus stacking feature is temporary disabled
PS Plus stacking feature is temporarily disabled until the new PS Plus launch. Please use the following statement if you would like to explain the current status on the retailer’s product page or at in-store communication.
Positioning Statement
Customers purchased/received a voucher at retail, and those who are coming up to a renewal point and want to manually renew with a stacking overlap “Adding additional time or “stacking” PlayStation Plus membership is temporarily disabled in preparation for the PlayStation Plus relaunch, please try to redeem your voucher after your subscription has ended or after PlayStation Plus has relaunched. More detail about the changes to PlayStation Plus can be found on the “PlayStation Blog ”

I have a PlayStation Plus 1-month, 3-month, or 12-month membership voucher. What will happen if I redeem it before the new PlayStation Plus service launches?
- If you are not a current member to the service the voucher is for, you can redeem your voucher using PS4, PS5, Web, and Mobile App. Click here for instructions. If you join PlayStation Plus and still have an active membership when the new PlayStation Plus service launches, you will transition into PlayStation Plus Essential.
- If you currently have a PlayStation Plus membership, due to changes we are making to the service prior to launch, you won’t be able to redeem a voucher code for that service until your existing membership expires and deactivates, or after the new PlayStation Plus service launches in your area, whichever happens first. Rest assured that your voucher code is still valid. See next question for further information.
Notice after launch: what’s happen when redeeming PS Plus voucher
- Currently stacking subscriptions using the Plus voucher is temporarily disabled but with the launch of the new PS Plus, users will be able to start stacking subscriptions again.
- When current PS Plus users redeem PS Plus voucher, users will be provided the different period of subscription depending on user’s subscription status. Please see conversion table below for details.

I have a PlayStation Plus 1-month, 3-month, or 12-month membership voucher. What will happen if I redeem it after the new PlayStation Plus service launches?
If you do not have an active membership:
- The PlayStation Plus voucher you redeem will provide you access to PlayStation Plus Essential for the length amount of time denoted on your original voucher. For example, a one-month PlayStation Plus voucher will provide access to one month of PlayStation Plus Essential.
If you are an existing customer:
- The PlayStation Plus voucher you redeem will be converted to a length of time on your current PlayStation Plus membership plan equivalent to the monetary value of the voucher you are redeeming. For example, a 1-month PlayStation Plus voucher will provide access to approximately 3 weeks of PlayStation Plus Extra or approximately 2.5 weeks of PlayStation Plus Deluxe. - If the player is a non-subscriber and redeems the voucher code, will receive 365 days of PS Plus Essential
- Option1: Redeem the voucher and receive Essential first then, upgrade to Extra or Deluxe
- Option2: Purchase Extra or Deluxe without using the voucher first, then extend using voucher redemption
I’m an existing subscriber & own PS Plus 12M voucher – How to use the voucher for new plans (Essential/Extra/Deluxe)?
- The subscription will be auto-converted to Essential after the relaunch then, can choose one of the options as following :
- Extend/Stack using the voucher to keep the same tier (Essential): Receive the same subscription time = 365 days
- Upgrade to Extra or Deluxe first then, stack using the voucher: Receive less subscription time = 219 Days of Extra / 190 Days of Deluxe
- The opposite of #2 is also available (stack for Essential then, upgrade Extra or Deluxe): Receive less subscription time = 219 Days of Extra / 190 Days of Deluxe
