Prince of Persia: The Shadow and the Flame is a HD remake of the 1993 Prince of Persia 2 (released by Brøderbund), developed by Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft for mobile platforms.The game was also released on iOS and Android devices on July 25, 2013.

Prince of Persia: The Shadow and the Flame take place eleven days after the events of the first game: Prince of Persia after the defeat of Jaffar. As a reward, the Sultan of Persia agreed to allow the princess to marry him. The game sets off as the Prince enters the royal courts of the palace. Before he enters, however, his appearance suddenly changes into a beggar. Where nobody was able to recognize him, and when he attempts to speak with the Princess, a man who shares the same appearance as him emerges from the shadows, and order him to be thrown out. With guards pursuing him, the Prince jumps through a window and flees the city by ship.
