Psyonix Has Disclose Rocket League Loot Crate Drop Rates
Developer Psyonix of the popular vehicular soccer Rocket League has published the drop rates for the game’s loot crates on its official blogsite.
Many game developers are slowly removing microtransactions from their games and to some extend, revealing the probability of their loot boxes in favor of transparency. Psyonix also disclose on its blog about the crate’s reward system.
In their own words, when a player opens a crate with a key or Decryptor, the system determines what rarity level to choose from between Rare, Very Rare, Import, Exotic or Black Market and based on the percentages listed below. After that, the system determines which item within that rarity group is dropped. If a player is receiving an Import-level Customization Item from the Impact Crate, for example, each of the three Import items in the Impact Crate have an equal chance of dropping. Lastly, based on the fix percetages, the system will determine if the item will drop is Painted or Certified attributes.
– Rare Item: 55%
– Very Rare Item: 28%
– Import Item: 12%
– Exotic Item: 4%
– Black Market Item: 1%
– Chance of receiving Painted attribute: 25%
– Chance of receiving Certified attribute: 25%
The studio says that these drop rates have not changed since loot crates were introduced in September 2016, and players will be informed if the developers makes any alterations to the drop rates.
