Rainbow Mika And Her Ravishing Costume Arrives To Street Fighter 5

The newest addition to Street Fighter 5s roster have been revealed and it’s none other than Rainbow Mika (or R.Mika), whose first and last appearance was in Street Fighter Alpha 3. The professional wrestler with a professed love for Zangief will be making her new-gen debut in Street Fighter 5.

Armed with her tag-team partner, Nadeshiko, it looks like R.Mika will provide a more colourful approach to combat with her wrestling-style move-set. Her V-Trigger special move, which involves Nadeshiko, was detailed by Capcom on a press release below:

“By calling Nadeshiko at the right time using R.Mika’s V-Trigger ability, players will be able to set up sneaky attacks and punishing command grab mix-ups that are sure to deliver devastating amounts of damage,” the press release continues, “Players who enjoy putting on a stunning display of fear-inducing close-combat guessing games will find R.Mika a colourful and rewarding way to play.”

The reveal trailer gave fans a good look at the combat system that R.Mika will be using and the type of offensive maneuvers you can expect from her grappling-style attacks. If you haven’t seen the trailer, we’ve conveniently embedded the video below for your viewing pleasure.

Her V-Skill: Mic Performance, as fighting enthusiasts will note, is unique in that she can charge her V-Skill by holding the buttons down for a more powerful normal and special throws. During her state of monologuing, players will be able to absorb a single hit from the opponent and cancel the speech at any moment by releasing the buttons, resulting in R.Mika swinging her mic towards the opponent.

Street Fighter 5 is scheduled for a spring 2016 release and will come to Playstation 4 and PC. A beta for PC should be coming in fall while the Playstation 4 beta is set to arrive on August 28th.
