Ranked Play And Seasons Added On Overwatch’s Latest Update
Tracer’s new pose may have been the focus of Overwatch‘s latest update but there are plenty of new features that came with it. .Particularly the inclusion of ranked play and ranking up through monthly seasons with the new Competitive Play.
Now you can fight against other players and be the best of the best at Overwatch by playing in the Competitive Play Mode which is “Designed for those seeking a more serious challenge”.
On their Battle.net post, Blizzard described Competitive Play as a “new game mode in which players can compete and ‘rank up’ through a series divisions and tiers in monthly seasons.”
If you’re thinking of joining in on the competitive action, here’s Blizzard explaining how it works:
“To join a Competitive Play game, select ‘Play’ from the main menu and then select ‘Competitive Play.’ You can queue up for Competitive Play games solo or in a group (of any size), and the system will do its best to match you against other players who’ve also queued solo or against players in similarly sized groups.”
You need to be at least level 25 in order to join the queue for Competitive Play.
