Spike Chunsoft announced they will publish Re:ZERO – Starting Life in Another World: The Prophecy of the Throne in the west on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC later this winter. The western release of The Prophecy of the Throne will also launch as a Day One Edition as well as Collector’s Edition. Check out the Switch Announcement Trailer here:
The Prophecy of the Throne takes place one month after Subaru began his new life in another world. An emissary sent by the royal castle has appeared with the news that the royal selection has been postponed, but strangely, there’s no reason why. The postponed of the grand event is the one that decides the next ruler of the Kingdom of Lugunica, which force Subaru and his friends into action.
When they arrive at the royal capital they find that a sixth candidate has claimed the stake for the throne. However, there can only be five, meaning one person is an imposter, and suspicions are cast toward Emilia.
The Prophecy of the Throne’s story is supervised by series author Tappei Nagatsuki and features brand new character designs from original artist Shinichirou Otsuka.
The Day One Edition includes 4 exclusive pins in a display box featuring Emilia, Subaru, Rem, and a brand-new character yet to be revealed. The Collector’s Edition includes the pins, along with a full-color art book, which contains concept art, sketches, and commentary with a special foreword from the creators, a SteelBook case, official soundtrack, and box.
