Rocket League’s Cross-Platform Friends Update Arrives Next Week

Rocket League is releasing the Friends List party system this February 19.

The long-awaited Friends List allows players to gain access to the new Friends List. Friends can be added to this from any platform through the new RocketID system, and can then be invited to join Parties and Clubs. With this feature, it will be possible to play matches with specific friends, regardless of which platform they’re on.

The Friends List consist of four tabs:

[list style=’regular’]
[list_item]Friends – Display your friends on your current platform. [/list_item]
[list_item]RocketID – Shows your online friends on all other platforms. After the update, every player will be auto-assigned a RocketID, which will be your username followed by four randomly-generated numbers. You may change the word portion of your RocketID at any time.[/list_item]
[list_item]Recent Players – Conveniently shows players you were recently matched up with or against. If you had solid team chemistry with a randomly-matched player, you can easily send that player a Friend Request from the Recent Players tab if they are on a different platform.[/list_item]
[list_item]Alerts – House all of your player interactions like Friend Requests, Party Invites, and Club Invites.[/list_item]
[/list]

The Rocket League ‘Friends Update’ brings Competitive Season 9 to a close and starts a new beginning of Season 10. Psyonix also offers a weekend of combined Double XP and Double Painted drop-rates starting on March 7. The event will last four days till March 11.
