Rumble Mode Is Coming To Rocket League

A new mode is coming to Rocket League that adds more insanity to the game’s already insane level of gameplay. Rumble Mode will be available next month and introduces power-ups into the game.

And yes, the power-ups are as insane as you’d imagine. Just check out the reveal trailer for Rumble Mode below:

If you didn’t manage to catch all the power-ups that are coming, here’s a handy list for you, courtesy of Gamespot:

– The Boot (Kicks an opponent’s car)
– Disruptor (Forces the opponent to drive uncontrollably)
– Freezer (Freezes the ball in-place)
– Grappling Hook (Pulls you towards the ball)
– Haymaker (Punches the ball)
– Magnetizer (Attracts the ball to your car)
– Plunger (Grabs the ball via plunger and cord)
– Power Hitter (Hit everything harder)
– Spike (Attach the ball to your car when you bump into it)
– Swapper (Change positions on the field with your opponent)
– Tornado (Sweep up the ball and cars into a giant funnel cloud)

Part of a “much bigger update” that Psyonix plans to roll out, September will see the studio adding more new content to Rocket League in the coming weeks, which should satisfy hardcore players of the game. We’ll update once we get more details on Psyonix “surprises” for the game.
