Samsung Gear IconX Is The Company’s First True Wireless Earbuds
Wireless earbuds have never been truly “wireless” as they still need to be tethered to one another. Samsung looks to do away with the wires completely with the first true wireless earbuds, the Samsung Gear IconX
The Samsung Gear IconX works by playing music with its internal 4GB storage or by streaming Spotify, Google Music, and Pandora via a Bluetooth-connected smartphone. It can also take calls when paired to a phone as a Bluetooth headset.
Battery life for the Gear IconX ranges from over three and a half hours when playing music straight from its internal storage or about an hour and a half if streaming from a smartphone. Charging the earbuds is through the small pill-shaped case that allows for up to two full charges.
Fitness enthusiast might want to look for the Gear IconX as its design to lock on to your ear so that you run without worrying it to fall out. Plus, the Gear IconX also comes with sensors that monitor your movement, heart rate, distance traveled and calories burned.
Samsung Gear IconX will ship later this year in white, blue, and black color variants and is priced at $199.99.
