Koei Tecmo recently announced two new characters that will be playable in Samurai Warriors 5, namely Azai Nagamasa, and Oda Nobunaga’s younger sister Oichi. You can see them in the image above. Check out the game’s official announcement trailer below:
Samurai Warriors 5 takes place after the end of the Ōnin War, during the Sengoku period, and tells the story of two of the most preeminent military commanders of this period – Nobunaga Oda and Mitsuhide Akechi. This title includes various eras from this period, including the younger years of Nobunaga, when he was known as Owari’s Great Fool, and the period of turmoil and upheaval leading to the Honnō-ji Incident.
Samurai Warriors 5 will launch on Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, with a June 24th release date for Japan and a July 27th release date for overseas territories.
