Singapore Comic Con (SGCC) is finally making its comeback this December for Western and Japanese pop culture fans residing in Singapore. The event will start from 10 – 11 December and will take place in the Sands Expo and Convention Centre (SECC).

This pop cultural event is Southeast Asia’s ultimate celebration of the best of Western and Asian pop culture. Exhibitions and events range from toys, collectibles, comics, esports to cosplay. Essentially, there will be at least something for everyone to enjoy.

This year’s SGCC will be bigger than ever as it covers four exhibition halls across two levels; over 350 exhibitors and 420 brands confirmed to be participating in the current event. On top of that, international creators from across 28 countries will also be participating to host panels and meet and greet sessions.

Some of the highlight exhibitors this year include Bandai, OSIM, Lego by Brickshop, Genshin Impact, and Infinity Studios. Aside from that, visitors should also not miss out on well-known international creators such as Huang Yu Lang – the Godfather of Hong Kong Comics, James Tynion IV – the writer of the Batman franchise in DC Comics, who will also be making appearances in SGCC this year.

This year’s SGCC will also introduce a new area, which is the Pop Culture Food Zone. In this new area, pop-up stores from different local food store chains will be featured.

LiHO, GoPizza, Blanco Court Beef Noodles, KRATE, Aboocha Kombucha, Sofnade, Cat and the Fiddle, Two Men Bagel House, and Calli ice cream are all available. Hence, visitors won’t have to worry about having an empty stomach while spending their time here at the event.

Various competitions and workshops will be held off-stage for those who want a more exciting experience during this event. Competitions such as tabletop gaming tournaments and cosplay competitions will be open for participation with amazing gifts to be won. Workshops such as LEGO by The Brick Shop and Space Marine miniature painting will be open for attendees interested in learning about them. This is at least something for both young and old to enjoy in this year’s SGCC.
