Smash+Grab Is Sleeping Dogs Dev’s Newest Game

United Front Games, the folks behind Sleeping Dogs are back with a new game. Smash+Grab is an online 3v3 multiplayer game that’s coming to Steam Early Access.

Set in the dystopian future, Smash+Grab pits gang rivals against each other as they try to “out-loot” one another. How it works is that players will compete in 15-minute matches where they have to grab $50,000 worth of items from the opposing side to win. As the match progress, you’ll be able to loot through bigger stores for special weapon mods and higher valued items.

“Smash+Grab combines our love of competitive online games with our expertise in action mechanics and hand-to-hand combat, sharpened during our development of Sleeping Dogs“, says United Front Games CEO Stephen Van Der Mescht in a press statement. “The playtesting rivalries got pretty intense in the studio during development, and we hope to see the same reaction on a bigger scale with Smash+Grab‘s Early Access Launch.”

The game will be making its Steam Early Access debut in September 2016 and will be a “fully featured” experience on PC despite it being on Early Access. In addition to the two online multiplayer mode and maps, players can also practice their “looting” skill in an offline practice mode.
