After a fantastic line-up of trailers, today’s PS5 event gave us all what we’ve been waiting for: a glimpse of what the console actually looks like.
There it is, in all its glory. It’s two-tone black and white, just like the controller! Check it out in the cinematic reveal trailer below:
We don’t have any further information about the console itself other than the reveal of its design. Well, besides the fact that there are two of them. A PS5 Standard, and a PS5 Digital. The Standard console has a disc drive, the Digital doesn’t.
It’s a move that makes sense, considering the gradual move to digital media. And presumably the Digital edition may be a little cheaper, if you’re willing to sacrifice a 4K Blu-ray player.
We’re yet to get a price or a release date. But hey, we at least know what the PS5 looks like. Now, we just have to figure out where the heck it’s going to go in our media units; it looks like it’s going to need to stand up, thanks to its curved design.
Since the reveal, twitter has been blowing up with hilarious comments about the design. Lets take a look at a few.
