Sony Unveils The PS4 Pro & PS4 Slim
At the PlayStation Theater, Sony unveiled the PlayStation 4 Pro – previously rumored as PlayStation Neo, will sport faster processor, increased storage and also supports 4K and high dynamic range (HDR) imaging. The PlayStation 4 Slim is an improved version of the existing PlayStation 4, with new design, lighter and slightly more powerful.
During the presentation, Sony’s Mark Cerny showed off a couple of games running on the The PlayStation 4 Pro – Mass Effect: Andromeda, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, For Honor and Watch Dogs 2.
Cerny clarifies that the PlayStation 4 Pro isn’t just designed for people with 4K or HDR capable displays, as developers can make use of the extra power to improve visual fidelity on standard 1080p TVs.
PlayStation 4 games will work on both versions of the console but game developers will only be able to make use of the updated console hardware when players play their games on PlayStation 4 Pro.
The PlayStation 4 Pro will cost $399 and will hit the store shelves on November 10, 2016.
