Sony has announced that it has fixed a recent issue that has been causing PlayStation 4 consoles to crash after getting a message containing specific text characters.
The text message bug, which triggered a crash loop so bad that it forces users to reset their consoles to factory settings. Reddit users previously recommended users to change their message settings to private because this issue is so severe that receiving just the notification of the message was enough to cause the bug. The good news is that Sony has released a new system patch 6.02 to address the crash loop issue.
