Splatoon 2 Demo in March For Nintendo Switch Owners
Nintendo will host a preview for the highly anticipated third-person shooter ‘Splatoon 2’ in March, Nintendo stated in a press release last night.
The Splatoon 2 Global Testfire event is available to Switch owners with internet access and the demo is downloadable at this date and time.
Hisashi Nogami, producer of Splatoon 2, confirms that a new feature called ‘Private Battle Spectator View’ is added to the game where spectators can watch any private game from multiple angles.
“Two years have passed in this universe since the original Splatoon, and since then, the weapons, maps and characters have evolved. Through the Splatoon 2 Global Testfire event this March, players will be able to get a taste of that. There will be more new features to experience in Splatoon 2, so please look forward to more reveals in the future,” said Mr. Nogami.
Splatoon 2 will also be playable offline without the need of an internet connection via wired LAN Play, which supports up to ten docked systems. Players could easily organize tournament between eight players and two spectators with LAN Play. Four main weapons are included in the demo, the new Splat Dualies, remixed version of Splat Roller and Splat Charger.
Splatoon 2 is expected to release in summer of 2017.
