Square Enix has issued an apology on Twitter for not producing sufficient boxed copies of Octopath Traveler.
The publisher had underestimated the game’s popularity and the day after the developer released the HD-2D JRPG, Square Enix provided a statement on Twitter to apologise to fans who were unable to purchase the physical copy of Octopath Traveler.
Octopath Traveler was launched exclusively for the Nintendo Switch last week. The adventure game turns out to be a huge success with claims that Octopath Traveler cartridges seems to sold out on Japanese store. The publisher even suggested players to purchase the digital download code cards instead of getting the physical copy of the game. The game is also sold out on Amazon as well.
