Star Wars: Battlefront is out and players should be traversing the Planet Hoth, Endor, and Jakku to fight the battles between the Dark and the Light sides as the Empire and Rebels respectively. Players that’s engrossed in the world of Battlefront and want more, can look forward to more content with Star Wars: Battlefront season pass.
The season pass will cost $49.99 and players can expect the following content from EA:
– Over 20 new pieces of galactic tech including weapons, vehicles, and Star Cards for both Rebels and Imperials.
– Four more heroes and villains for you to fight as or against.
– Four exciting new game modes.
– Two-week early access to each expansion pack
– Exclusive “Shoot First” emote
Along with the free DLC “Battle of Jakku” set for release on December 18, in conjunction with Star Wars: The Force Awaken, there seems to be quite a lot gaming goodness coming to fans of the game. While no specific dates have been given for when all the content will be released, it will most likely be coming around early 2016, as stated on their official website.
Aside from that, players joining the fray should take note of the changes that EA and DICE made after the beta. Based on the “community feedback”, here are some of the changes made for the game’s release:
Partner and Party System: Several tweaks have been done in this area such as the ability to join a friend via the Xbox Friends app, and see party friends in-game via green dots on the map. Players will not be able to spawn on them, though.
Spawns: Added combat areas that are different for Rebels and Imperials to mitigate spawn camping. Spawn distances for the two teams have been adjusted on the first uplink.
Vehicles and Weapons: Several tweaks to vehicles and weapons have been made, particularly to the Cycler Rifle. It has been balanced with a bullet drop and slower projectile speed for “more deserving kills.” Weak spots on Walkers have been added, and tweaks to balance have been applied to how vehicles, troopers, Star Cards, and ion weapons stand up against each other.
Heroes and Villains: Automatic damage done to heroes over time, and the ability of getting health back when killing enemies have been removed. This will “perfect the power fantasy of playing as these characters.”
With all the content and changes coming to Star Wars: Battlefront, players will definitely be playing the game for a long, long, time. Star Wars: Battlefront is available now for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
