Golden Week in Japan has a number of important dates associated with it, beginning with The Emperor’s Birthday on the 29th of April and finishing with Children’s Day on May 5. In celebration of this event, Steam is offering a sale throughout Golden Week with a specific focus on Japanese games. This is something that the platform does annually, with an update to Steam bringing a sale that reduces the prices of games and series developed by Japanese studios.
If the previous Golden Week Sales are anything to go by, many titles will be heavily reduced in price. Games such as Dark Souls, Monster Hunter World, and the Devil May Cry series are likely to see price reductions, as these titles have been marked down during previous sales.
And if that wasn’t enough, shortly after Golden Week Sale, the Steam Open World sale will also be running from May 27th until May 31st. Steam is calling it a “sale and celebration of infinite exploration”.
