Street Fighter 5 Arcade Edition Reportedly Arriving In Early 2018
Capcom has announced that Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition is scheduled to release on January 16th, 2018. The updated version will include new modes and the first two seasons of downloadable characters.
According to the trailer above, players can look forward to all of Season 1 and 2 DLC characters, including Arcade Mode, Extra Battle Mode and the new V-Trigger moves to the fighting game. In addition, Capcom has completely redesigned the user interface and even provided gallery of illustrations for the game.
In the upcoming Arcade Mode, players can reminisce in the Street Fighter series history as they celebrate the last 30 years of the multi-million selling franchise. Choose from six different paths and compete in matches against CPU opponents to reveal unique endings based on player performance. In Extra Battle Mode, a new series of time exclusive challenges will be available for players to use their Fight Money for the chance to receive an exclusive premium outfit each month. Complete all four challenges each month and receive a special premium costume exclusive to this mode.
For those who already owns Street Fighter V, the Arcade Mode update will be given for free. Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition will cost $39.99, which comes with the base game along with instant unlocks of the first two seasons of extra characters.
