Ever since Niantic and Nintendo revealed the team leaders for Valor, Mystic, and Instinct in Pokémon GO, players have been staunchly behind their team of choice among the three.
Unfortunately, ever since their reveal, the team leaders have yet to serve any function in the game other than being a mascot. Well, that might all change soon in the update that’s rolling out.
A new feature called Implemented Pokémon Appraisal will be available in the new update which will give those who battle for Pokégym a little help from either Candela, Blanche or Spark. Here’s the description from Niantic on the new function:
Implemented Pokémon Appraisal: Trainers will now be able to learn about a Pokémon’s attack and defense capabilities from their Team Leader (Candela, Blanche or Spark) to determine which of their Pokémon have the most potential for battle.
Hopefully, this is a start to make the team leaders a lot more involved in the game and make them more than just a team mascot and the source of the many, many, fan-fiction for Pokémon GO players.
