Tekken 8 Announced on State of Play

The wait is finally over! Tekken 8 was officially announced during this month’s State of Play. The new entry will focus on the showdown between Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama.

Given that Tekken 7 was a huge success for this long-running series, fans are excited to see what’s coming up next in the sequel. Tekken 8 will focus on the father and son showdown between Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama, as revealed by Chief Producer of the Tekken Project – Katsuhiro Harada.

The trailer is the actual gameplay footage taken from the PlayStation 5, what you see is what you’ll get. The Tekken series has always been renowned for its dramatic pre-rendered movies from its story mode, Tekken 8 is no exception. Powered by the next-gen console, you can expect refined details and immersive experience when you play.

At the time of writing, no official release date has been announced for Tekken 8, but we are hoping it will be out in 2023 because we can’t wait any longer! Tekken 8 will be available on PS5, Xbox and PC.
