Tetris 99 Is Getting A 2nd DLC Later This Year
Nintendo Swicth’s Tetris 99 is getting a new downloadable content which allow users to play offline multiplayer.
The Tetris 99 digital game includes an online mode that is only for Nintendo Switch Online members. In large-scale, 99-player battles, it’ll take speed, skill, and strategy to knock out the competition and become the last player standing.
The latest expansion is listed as ‘DLC 2’ which offers the new offline multiplayer mode. In the Big Block DLC released in May this year, Tetris 99 received two single-player modes with CPU matches and a Marathon leaderboard mode. However, the latest DLC will enable local multiplayer mode for up to eight players and a new mode where two players share a single Joy-Con. The listing has a placeholder release date of December 31, 2019 at the moment.
In Tetris 99, player’s goal is to rotate and move falling blocks called Tetriminos to complete horizontal lines. Completed lines disappear, clearing space for more Tetriminos, which fall faster and faster.
