The Classic ‘King of Fighters’ Game was Released on PlayStation 4

SNK have recently announced that The King of Fighters ’98 Ultimate Match Final edition is currently available on PlayStaion 4 along with the upcoming Team DLC for the King of Fighters XV. The remaking re-release of the symbolic fight game has a number of new features and modern refinements that will attract to both title veterans and potential new gamers.

Players can expect new “Ultimate Mode” system and game balance changes, however, the details are insufficient for now. There will also be a Challenge Mode and a Practice Mode that come with latter offering the intended functionality.

One of the most important elements in the combat games is called rollback netcode, where The King of Fighters ’98 Ultimate Match Final Edition will be included in the game as well. This element has become the typical element among the combat games nowadays. This is because the rollback netcode element will make the online matches become mroe fluid and responsive for all players involved.

Online lobbies for up to nine players may also be created, with a Spectator Mode included. More, matches now include replays, allow users to relive memorable fights and moments, and matchmaking is made more personalized.

 

 

The King of Fighters ’98 Ultimate Match Final Edition was first released in 2014 for PC through Steam. It never made it to the Sony console until today. This version of the game is titled as the “ultimate” anf final version of The King of Fighters ’98: Ultimate Match”, a 2004 PS2 remake of The King of Fighters ’98, which launched in 1998 in arcades before making its way to home systems such as the Neo Geo and PlayStation 1.
