China is making its move into the gaming industry and they are doing it by emulating the best in industry, Namely, the PlayStation and Xbox.
The Fuze is a Chinese gaming console that’s powered by Android and if the design seems familiar to you. That’s because it’s basically a PlayStation 4 console body with a Xbox One controller.
And the similarities doesn’t end there. The user interface for Fuze seems to be “inspired” by Sony’s own UI. The specifications for the Fuze is as follows:
– Nvidia Tegra K1 (4 Core A15 @ 2.2GHz
– Nvidia Keppler @ 852Mhz (325GLOPS)
– 4GB DDR3 RAM @ 933 Mhz
– 32GB eMMC storage (Elite = 500GB HDD)
– Wi-Fi & Bluetooth support
– HDMI, USB 3.0 x 1, Ethernet (Elite = Qi Wireless controller charger)
– Fuze OS (Android) + Open GL 4.4 & Open GL ES 3.1 support
– Chinese & English game support
Despite the obvious “homages” to Playstation 4 and Xbox One, the company seems intent on making the Fuze a worthy contender in the gaming industry. During their press conference, they have announced their partnership with Keiji Inafune, creator of Mega Man, and are collaborating with Koei Tecmo and Arc Systems to bring titles to the console.
The Fuze will be priced at ¥899 ($140) for the Play edition, ¥1499 ($230) for the Elite edition and is expected to launch in the summer.
