The Gore-fest Ensues With DOOM Multiplayer Trailer

After the extensive single player gamplay trailer for Doom, id Software wanted to let PvP players know that the DOOM multiplayer will be just as fun and graphic as the single player campaign.

Using the new id Tech 6 game engine really shines the violence and gore on DOOM games and multiplayer is no exception. The quick trailer showed off how hectic and gory the matches will be and a unique power-up was teased when one of the Marine ran to a Sigil, causing him to transform into a revenant. The player then went on to wreak shop on other players until he was finally taken down by another player in a very gruesome way.

So far, the game modes that are confirmed for them would be Domination, Freeze Tag, and Clan Arena will all be part of the multiplayer suite. Not much else is known except that one of maps confirmed will be a UAC Facility.

The other big news is the all new DOOM Snapmap tool. A tool designed to make modding more accessible to players. Based on the demo footage, it allows players to create their own PvP or PvE maps and objectives by piece blocking areas and basically dropping enemies points, check points and items.

As the Snapmap demo shows, the process for creating an entirely custom map is simple and straightforward and can be accomplished easily even by those without any modding experience.

The game will definitely please DOOM fans as id Software has remain close to the tried-and-true formula of DOOM’s fun gameplay. DOOM is expected to come out on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
