The Hacksmith Tests Out Captain America’s Magnetic Shield

We’ve seen how Captain America uses his shield in creative ways in Civil War. Throughout the entire time, the shield always manages to return to Cap’s arm. The technology behind it, supposedly, is the magnetic mount that Captain America uses.

Of course, it’s all movie magic but the folks at Hacksmith wanted to test out whether a magnetic shield is workable in the real world. So they built a magnetic mechanism that basically works just like in the movie. Somewhat.

Check out Captain America’s shield in action below:

While it does work, it hardly practical to walk around with a huge magnetic gauntlet on your arm. Let’s just leave all the shield tricks to Captain America instead.
