Have you ever wanted to play Mario Kart for real? Or just hop around in Bowser’s castle? Well, it seems that you might finally be able to do so.

Nintendo Mario Theme Park

Universal Studios Japan and Nintendo have announced that they are planning to build Nintendo-themed attractions for the Osaka park. The first attraction to be available will be based on the uber-popular Nintendo character, Mario. The expansion will take place in the red area highlighted below.

The attractions will apparently be similar in size and scale to the “Wizard World of Harry Potter” park which means rides, restaurants and souvenir shops galore.

The $350 million project is expected to be finished by 2020, just in time for the Summer Olympics in Tokyo. If you want to visit the land of Nintendo, better book that ticket to Japan soon.
