Thor: Ragnarok Will Be Joined By Jeff Goldblum, Karl Urban, and Cate Blanchett
The next Thor movie will see the addition of huge actors as Marvel recently revealed that Jeff Goldblum (“Independence Day: Resurgence”, “Jurassic Park”), Karl Urban (“Star Trek” Trilogy, “The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King”), Tessa Thompson (“Creed”, “Selma”), and Cate Blanchett (“Carol”, “Cinderella”) will join Chris Hemsworth in Thor: Ragnarok.
Blanchett will portray the villain Hela while Goldblum will join as the eccentric Grandmaster who is a cosmic being that plays chess with lesser beings.
Thompson will play as the warrior Valkyrie and Urban will make his Marvel debut as the Asgardian Skurge. Rounding out the huge cast will be Mark Ruffalo who reprises his role as Bruce Banner a.k.a. The Hulk.
“The continuation of the epic Thor franchise will be powerful and unique, and with the additions of Cate, Jeff, Tessa, Karl, and Mark to the cast, we have the makings of his most dangerous and heroic adventure yet,” said Kevin Feige in a press release. “The sheer, raw talent each of these actors brings to the screen can’t be quantified. Having any one of them join the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be an honor, and having all of them is incredible.”
Alongside Hemsworth, Thor: Ragnarok will see the return of Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, and Anthony Hopkins. Thor: Ragnarok is expected to hit theaters on November 3, 2017.
