We know that everyone is still cooped up at home due to the pandemic, here are 5 games we think will help get you through quarantine.
1. Resident Evil Village
First up we have Resident Evil Village. Before the game was officially launched, the internet already cooked up a storm about Lady Dimitrescu.
The story follows Ethan Winters from Resident Evil 7, on the quest to save his daughter Rose. The gameplay mechanics is pretty much the same as before, with an additional feature, the mercenary mode where players have to kill enemies within a certain time frame.
If you’re looking for a bit of thrill this May, be sure to get Resident Evil 8 Village on Xbox, PlayStation and/or steam.
2. New Pokemon Snap
And No.2 we have Nintendo’s New Pokémon Snap as you journey across land and ocean to see Pokémon in their natural habitat. With the help of Professor Mirror, his assistant Rita and Phil who will help you out on your journey.
There’s a wider variety of Pokémons in this game as compared to the older one and players can throw fluff fruits at Pokémon to get a reaction from them. Another item is called the illumina orb, which can make a Pokémon glow if you throw it at them. At the end of the day, after getting those shots, it’s gonna be graded by the system depending on how rare that moment is.
If you’re itching to go out but have to stay at home, you can immerse yourself in this wonderful Pokémon game.
3. Genshin Impact
No.3 is the new and trending Genshin impact. It’s an action and adventure RPG, and if you’re a RPG lover like myself, you can play this game for hours on end.
The landscapes are beautifully designed and features multiple storylines that gets you hooked on the game. There’s also a lot of playable characters, each with their own unique abilities, weapons usage and elemental affinities which can be combined for additional damage.
Genshin Impact is fun and challenging with its gameplay mechanics. Available as a free-to-play on PlayStation, P.C. and mobile.
Note: PlayStation is currently doing a promotion with Genshin Impact. Click here for more information.
4. It Takes Two
The No.4 game is It Takes Two. If you’re stuck at home with your family, this co-op game might be just for you, it might even help bring the family a little closer.
The story follows Cody and May, parents who decided to divorce. Their daughter Rose, who’s upset over this creates 2 dolls that their parents magically turn into. With the guidance of a book of love called Dr Hakim, they’re gonna go through obstacles to improve their relationship. Players play as either Cody or May, each tasked with different role throughout the game. And it’s your job to make it work.
Staying at home is a great way to get to know your family better. So why not try a game of It Takes Two, together.
5. Disco Elysium: Final Cut
No.5 we have Disco Elysium Final Cut. Now disco elysium is a slightly different kind of RPG, you play not as a ravishing heroic character, but as a drunken detective in a dystopian world, where every corner reeks of nihilism.
The gameplay features no combat as you’d normally expect from a RPG, however it is handled through skill checks and dialogue trees which ultimately determines your political alignment. While the previous game didn’t give much closure in terms of that, the developers added what’s called the Political Vision Quest to give players more time to explore on their political choices.
Disco Elysium Final cut is a must-try for me, and that’s all the games covered today.
