Fresh off its announcement for the first-ever Nintendo attraction in Japan, Universal Studios is now planning to make a Walking Dead attraction for its Hollywood studio. The announcement came with a sneak peek clip at the attraction that’s coming in Summer 2016.
Prior to this, Universal Studios had often held a Walking Dead attraction as part of its “Halloween Horror Nights” event. Now, the attraction will be a permanent fixture with better and more permanent improvements. The attraction is also being made in collaboration the show’s creative team.
Greg Nicotero, executive producer/director/makeup special effects supervisor for the show, will head a team to supervise the design of the attraction, along with the makeup and special effects.
The Walking Dead attraction will now join the ranks of other Universal Studios Hollywood attraction such as “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter“, “The Fast & Furious – Supercharged” ride, and also the upcoming Nintendo attraction. The Walking Dead attraction is set to open this Summer, 2016.
