Popular British publisher Firefly Studios recently released the trailer of their upcoming a co-operative city builder for Android & iOS named Romans: Age of Caesar. Check out the announcement trailer here:
A co-operative grand strategy Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) game, Romans: Age of Caesar is the latest historical strategy game. The development for the title was to be the first-ever online cooperative city builder. The first announcement was in early 2019, following which came the alpha releases. It will be a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
In the game, there will be an Online Continent where the players will have control on an individual city. They must rebuild Rome as they share resources, re-establish trade routes and protect their cities from barbarian invasion. However, you can expect to experience classic city builder gameplay online. You have access to every resource available in game, working with fellow governors to rebuild the great cities of Rome to its former glory. So, the main idea is expand your districts and build around several players. Once the rebuild is over, the rebuilding of the Roman Empire is your next big step. Do this by aligning with your countrymen and invade the barbarians.
Romans: Age of Caesar is expected to have a mobile release sometime around 2021. The game is currently in a closed alpha testing mode both for Android and iOS.
