Valve announced that the new Steam Library open beta will begin on September 17, and all users will be able to try out the new features.
The Steam library represents the player’s gaming history, and the new library home provides quick access to game updates, recently played games, friends activity and the player’s collections. Steam also allows developers to use the new creation tools to feed directly into the new library, showcasing their games’ updates. With it, players will not miss out on important updates or limited-time events for the games they have in their library. The new event tool gives developers the ability to also connect with players and share other things like a developer live-stream or a community challenge, or even highlight interesting fan art.
