What you need to know about Scorn

Scorn is an atmospheric first-person horror adventure game set in a nightmarish universe of odd forms and somber tapestry. The game is releasing on 14 October 2022 on Steam and Xbox Series X|S.

The player will be playing as a humanoid lost in the nightmarish universe filled with off creatures and techno-organic structures composed of machines, flesh, and bone. You will also be exploring different interconnected regions in a non-linear fashion open-ended world, each with their own theme. There won’t be any cutscene as the story happens in-game. You will have to keep an eye out on what’s happening around you if you don’t want to miss something important. Every information you collected will be a clue to the answer or a key to keep you alive.

With each new area explored, you will be able to acquire new skill sets, weapons and items. The game also features full body awareness where objects are picked up by the player’s hand instead of just floating in the air. Mechanics and instruments are also operated by grabbing the controls.

The weapons provided in-game are biomechanical weapons that are implanted on the player’s body. In order to swap weapons, you will need to remove the current one and replace it with another. The firstly showcased weapons are a pistol and a three-barrel shotgun that fires organic spikes. Beware that the ammo is limited so plan well on when to shoot or take cover.

Scorn is a first-person biopunk survival horror adventurer game developed by Serbian developer Ebb Software and published by Kepler Interactive. It will be releasing this October 14th and available on Steam and Xbox Series X|S.
