Corruption abilities will be completely removed. They managed to tie this in with the story, as when N’Zoth dies his essence is cleansed from Azeroth. In an interview with PandaTV, director Ion Hazzikostas admitted the game is currently in a broken state due to the corruption powers. In the interview he said:
“We may preserve a legacy grayed out tooltip on the gear, but it’s a mix of moving the story line forward and frankly the game is pretty broken right now – we know the game is pretty broken right now – part of why that’s been ok is that we know it’s for a short period of time; there’s no way to really deal with someone who has, you know, 100% crit rate and all of that stuff going into new content. Enjoy the silly season, but post squish we’re going to get back to a normalized space.”
In addition to the removal of corruption, some mounts will be removed. The Awakened Mindborer and Might Caravan Brutosaur will be leaving.
Before you journey to the Shadowlands, be sure to claim the rewards that will no longer be obtainable (or will be more difficult to acquire) in the next expansion.

The biggest change for the pre-patch is the level squish. The new leveling system will squish your characters down from 120 to 50. Shadowlands will have another 10 levels to explore, and the squish is meant to make leveling faster, more meaningful and ultimately more accessible to new players.
There is still the 100% XP boost bonus that will run until the pre-patch. It seems that Shadowlands has been delayed due to pandemic challenges. That double XP was meant to leave in April, but you’ll be able to take advantage of it all the way until the pre-patch.
Shadowlands is currently in beta. There is still no release date, but for now, we’re expecting Shadowlands to arrive as early as September and as late as December. Keep your account topped up with our World of Warcraft Pre-Paid Game Cards, Battlenet Game Cards, 战网一卡通, and MyCards below:
