You Can Now Play As A Girl In South Park: Fractured But Whole
The first South Park RPG, The Stick of Truth, had pretty much everything that a modern RPG could need. Summoning Jesus to help you battle Al Gore, using a Jew as a special battle class, and the ability to control farts.
But if there’s one thing that it missed out on, is the ability to play as a girl.
South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker has heard you and in South Park: Fractured But Whole, you’ll finally be able to create a girl character, and will have a different experience from it.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Parker and Stone discussed in details about the ability to play as a girl in the new game. Stone said, “This time, we wanted to add that. But the boys are little boys because it’s really a story about little boys running around”.
“So they don’t care about [your character being a girl]? That seems weird. They always seemed to care about it in the show. Are they dumb about it, and they don’t know? So you’re in hiding? Or do they totally care about that, and totally treat you differently? So we ended up doing these things differently for different characters.”
While Stone and Parker didn’t state how different gender will affect gameplay, most likely it will be in dialogues and off-hand comments rather than actual gameplay.
South Park: Fractured But Whole is scheduled for release on December 6, 2016, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
